Shot Analysis
This is a medium shot at a high angle that includes Danny on the left, Jad in the center, and Fletcher to the right. In this shot they are examining Anderton’s murder file at the Precog headquarters. John’s head is also shown at the top right on the shot. Each of the characters’ expressions appear to look focused on the task at hand. However, a closer look at their faces reveals that they actually look confused. The characters are actually demonstrating their moral confusion of the situation in which they must arrest their former police chief. In many ways, the screen represents an outlet for their internal conflict. The screen is splattered with messy white colors and red numbers, all of which form a very convoluted and confusing image. Similar to the screen that has no clear shape or direction, the characters are unsure how to go about pursuing their former leader and chief. Meanwhile, John Anderton is in the top right corner of the shot, waiting expectantly for the Precogs’ final decision.
